Mr. Nick Karim has held the position of General Manager, Vopak Moda Houston (VMH) since 1Q2022, having the responsibility for the new ammonia terminal located in the Port of Houston. Mr. Karim is an experienced executive with over 30 years in the Oil & Gas industry. His experience was developed from over 30 years in roles of increasing responsibility in commercial, logistics, trading, operations, and planning both globally and in North America with a large Oil Major. As General Manager for VMH, Mr. Karim leads, develops, and implements the business growth strategy with the intent of developing the site into the premier low-carbon and hydrogen hub on the US Gulf Coast.

Mr. Karim was born in the UK, immigrated to Canada as a child and recently became a US citizen. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from the University of Calgary.
