Kevin Pearce is the Director of Business Development for Offshore Renewables in the Americas at ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) where he drives forward their commitment to support the evolving needs of the offshore renewables sector.

Prior to joining ABS, Kevin led his own independent practice providing advisory and consulting services to the marine and energy industries. Kevin also spearheaded the growth and positioning of Aker Solutions’ engineering, fabrication, and construction offerings for the U.S. offshore wind industry. Before joining Aker, Kevin he led the business development of the Siemens Energy offshore wind transmission business in the U.S.

Kevin got his start in offshore wind with U.S. offshore wind developer Bluewater Wind, where he played a key role in several notable accomplishments including the first offshore wind Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in the United States.

He is a Naval Architect who started his career in private marine consulting firms, where he led the engineering, financing, and construction of ships and offshore structures.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture and a Master of Engineering in Ocean Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he has also served as an instructor.

He also serves on the board of directors at the Oceantic Network.
