After several years in the Energy Sector and lately as Technical Director (CTO), and member of the Executive Board in Energinet, I have from Summer 2021 continued my career as board/supervisory board member and advisor for companies in the Energy Sector.

I have for many years been working on the strategic level with reference to the boards of the different companies, and lately with the Energinet strategy Winds of Change, which also has reference to the UN Global Goals.

I have been employed at Nea Lindberg (part of FL Smidth), SEAS-NVE and Energinet. In these 3 companies, I have been responsible for almost all kinds of functions: R&D, sales, production, QHSE, procurement, IT, risk management, operations, plant building and a wind power department.

The key has been to create results through good leadership. An example of this is achieving a score of 97 out of 100 from my management team in Ennova’s 360 degrees leadership evaluation.

Significant achievements from my career as an employee in the Energy Sector:

• Energinet benchmarked in the European top class out of 46 electricity transmission operators.
• Together with TenneT (The Netherlands) initiated the idea of building Energy Islands in the North Seas. These are now becoming reality in Denmark. The work does also include Power to X (PtX), Energy Storage etc.
• That Denmark is the first country in the world that can run the electrical system without using power plants.
• As member of the Executive board and the Board for the IT – Company, I have been part in developing and approval of the Digital Strategy and the IT Strategy, which among other also covers Cyber and Information Security and agile ways of working.
• Building the world’s first off-shore wind parks, Samsø, Middelgrunden, Rødsand 1 – as part of SEAS Wind Energy Center, that I started in 1998.
