John Piletich

John Piletich has been with Deloitte since 2022 working in the Emerging Infrastructure Platforms space. Previously, he worked at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy. He has worked on supporting connected and smart ports, and related smart warehouse projects.

He is a decorated U.S. Diplomat with more than 25 years of diplomatic, technical, and project management experience in Deloitte, the U.S. Federal Government, and the United Nations, including leading diverse teams and managing large projects. John is focused on helping organizations redesign how connectivity, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies can better support their organizations, improve mission outcomes by adoption at scale, and build robust digital cultures.

Amine Lamdaouar

Amine Lamdaouar is a Senior Manager at Deloitte with a specialization in energy markets and finance. Amine has been leading strategy and advisory services, working with and for international donors, manufacturers and suppliers of energy systems, utility companies and policy makers in several regions including sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Europe, North and Latin America. Amine has an extensive technical knowledge of the clean energy industry, including solar PV and CSP, onshore and offshore wind and other innovative clean technologies such as solar pumping and energy storage.

Charlotte Lemos

Charlotte has 8 years of experience specializing in climate and environmental policy. Currently, she is a sustainability consultant at Guidehouse where she works on sustainability initiatives for government and commercial clients.

Before Guidehouse, Charlotte lead government affairs at a climate-focused technology start-up that tracked and analyzed greenhouse gas and air quality data from oceangoing vessels and port authorities. There, she supported port and government clients with monitoring, reporting, and optimizing their greenhouse gases to lower their carbon footprint while saving money. For ports, Charlotte helped advise green purchasing, long-term sustainability plans, and grant applications by analyzing and reporting client greenhouse gas data and helped secure Inflation Reduction Act Clean Ports Program grant for ports. She also led government affairs efforts to ensure incentives for efficiencies in the maritime industry. Charlotte also worked for Senator Blumenthal on his Commerce, Science, and Transportation committee and energy and environment portfolio focusing on a plethora of climate, energy, ocean, maritime, and transportation issues.

Charlotte holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, specializing in environmental policy and data-driven policy analysis and a BA in Earth Sciences from UC Berkeley specializing in atmospheric greenhouse gas emissions.

She has published various thought-pieces, both internal (white papers, reports, PowerPoints, proposals) and external (op-eds, magazine articles, research and law journals). These include in the Tulane Law Review, AAPA’s Seaports Magazine, the North American Clean Energy Magazine, the Biological Bulletin, and many others.

Meg Gentle

Meg Gentle is an energy expert and experienced executive from Houston, Texas. As an Executive Director of the Board of HIF Global, she is developing multi-billion dollar projects that will recycle CO2 from the atmosphere and combine it with green hydrogen to produce carbon-neutral eFuels for the transportation sector, enabling the decarbonization of existing cars, trucks, ships, airplanes.

Prior to HIF, Meg spent her career developing large scale energy infrastructure projects which pioneered the emergence of the United States as the largest supplier of natural gas to the international market and paved the way for U.S. leadership delivering cleaner energy in the fight against climate change.

Meg has served in numerous senior management positions of publicly traded companies, including President and CEO of Tellurian Inc, CFO, EVP Marketing, and SVP Strategic Planning and Finance of Cheniere Energy Inc, and Manager of Strategic Planning for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. She has served on the board of directors of Cheniere Energy Partners and Tellurian and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ovintiv, a leading North American energy producer, and HIF Global, an innovative decarbonization company. Meg is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council, a think tank devoted to shaping policy choices and strategies to create a more free, secure, and prosperous world; and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an organization dedicated to helping citizens better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries.

An active philanthropist in her community, Meg serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and is the Chairman of the Governing Board of Casa de Esperanza – the “House of Hope” for children in crisis in Houston.

She has a B.A. in international affairs and economics from James Madison University and an MBA from Rice University.

Jason Gasparik

Jason Gasparik has more than 22 years of experience in container terminal automation, equipment and systems design. Jason has predominantly worked with cargo handling, crane and automation systems for the container port/terminal business throughout his career but has also been deeply involved in other heavy industries such as intermodal, steel making, forestry products and precast products. He has been a global leader for product strategy as well as been instrumental in presenting long term business strategies to C-level leadership teams throughout his career.

Lee Beck

Lee Beck is HIF Global’s Senior Vice President for Global Policy and Commercial Strategy. As part of HIF Global’s commercial team, she works at the intersection of project, market, commercial, and policy realities helping to scale e-fuels as part of the climate solutions set.

Before Lee joined HIF, she served as CATF’s Senior Director in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, overseeing CATF’s climate strategy to advance a broad portfolio of solutions in these regions. She was also responsible for advancing CATF’s efforts on the global climate policy stage through leadings CATF’s presence at the COP and related international convenings. Having worked on climate and clean energy and lived in the U.S. and Europe, Lee is an expert on transatlantic partnerships and international affairs and is passionate about advancing and strengthening the transatlantic relationship to achieve climate goals. Lee frequently speaks at and moderates high-level events, including on and off-the-record CEO- and Ministerial-level dialogues, around the world. Her thought leadership has been featured in publications such as Bloomberg, The Washington Post, the Financial Times, and Tagesspiegel.

Passionate about overlooked solutions, Lee worked with a multiorganizational team to launch the globally-oriented Nuclear Scaling Initiative, focused on scaling nuclear energy in the US and Central and Eastern Europe. She is also expert in carbon management technologies, having worked on the technology at both the Global CCS Institute and CATF, leading a global team of experts. Under her leadership, CATF’s carbon capture team played an integral role in advancing cutting-edge carbon management policies globally. The team helped secure $12 billion in funding for carbon capture, removal, and storage in the U.S. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as well as make improvements to the 45Q tax credit in the Inflation Reduction Act. The team also put forward the vision for a European Strategy for Carbon Capture and Storage.

Passionate about advancing the climate ecosystem and facilitating high-value partnerships and multi-lateral agreements and initiatives, Lee advises a range of organizations, governments, and foundations globally on their strategies. She is currently, a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center and serves on the Advisory Boards of Project Tempo and EPG Romania.

She also worked for the Vermont Energy Investment Cooperation, at Eni USA in their Washington DC International Relations Office, focusing on international affairs and government relations, and the EU Delegation to the U.S. Before focusing on the energy field, Lee was a journalist reporting for multiple outlets reporting from Germany, Italy, Tanzania and Hong Kong.

Lee has a Master of Arts in International Affairs & Economics with majors in Energy, Resources & Environment and Political Economy from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). A German citizen, and recently naturalized American, having lived in eight countries, she speaks German, French, and Italian.

She brings a seasoned perspective to federal and regulatory compliance, incident response, and data protection strategies. Her passion lies in sharing knowledge – empowering individuals to safeguard their information both at home and in the office. She is someone who loves decoding the complexities of cybersecurity while making it relatable and approachable. Rakshay Shah

Rakshay Shah is currently the Carbon Program Manager for the Marine Sector in the Sectors and Decarbonisation Business. In his current role, he focuses on developing alternative fuels pathways and value chains to help Shell’s Marine customers decarbonize. These customers range from container shipping companies to cruise lines.

Rakshay has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including 19 years with Shell in a variety of Commercial, Operational, Technical, Strategic, and Finance roles. He has deep experience in renewable energy, low carbon fuels, downstream chemicals, and refining. Rakshay has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Louisiana State University.

Jan Behrendt Ibsø

Jan Behrendt Ibsø joined COWI in 2017. In January 2022 he was appointed COWI Group Market Director for Renewables and Green Fuels. In this role, he is involved in accelerating the green transition through major projects including forming COWIs strategy and market approach for Offshore Renewables, Energy Islands and Green Fuels.

He has worked for more than 20 years in global energy sectors, leading and executing growth strategies and streamlining global delivery of services and solutions in several large organizations. Having been part of several offshore renewables projects, Jan has worked on both sides of the table: both with direct offshore wind project development and with management of offshore renewable projects incl. consultancy, advisory, and certification. Jan holds deep insight into the markets, technologies, and business processes of the industry and has been elected to multiple national standardization committees.

Jan holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Offshore Technology and Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

David Gully

David Gully is the regional sales manager for the West Coast. Early in his career, Gully studied electrical componentry of industrial equipment. Gully has 30 years of expertise and knowledge of material handling equipment with Taylor Machine Works, Inc. and with Taylor’s sister company, Sudden Service, Inc. Before his position in sales, Gully worked with Sudden Service, Inc., the aftermarket parts and service company, as product support manager. His knowledge helped chart the course for electrical componentry in gantry cranes and steering involving electronic communication.

Since 2005 Gully has been directly responsible for working with Taylor-authorized dealers in providing material handling equipment based on the specific customer needs and in offering fleet management solutions in port and terminal management systems.
