The Port of the Future ConferenceTM will conduct a Research Showcase on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the University of Houston Student Center, located directly across from the Hilton University Houston.

This showcase is open to the public. Admission is free.

Concept. The Port of the Future ConferenceTM Research Showcase is an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss their research with conference attendees. Prominent scientists from Department of Homeland Security Centers of Excellence colleges, universities, Department of Homeland Security Centers of Excellence, and national laboratories and private corporations will present promising solutions and technological advances to current and anticipated challenges to international travel and trade, transportation and logistics, cybersecurity, environmental compliance, infrastructure resilience, and more.

Guest post-graduate scholars and scientists will display their research via 36-inch by 48-inch quad charts in assigned booths, allocated on a “first come, first served” basis. The researchers will stand by their booths to answer viewers’ questions and provide in-depth explanations of their research.

Centerstage. During the Research Showcase, participating researchers will be scheduled to give a 20-minute presentation in the Skyline Room of the Student Center, followed by a 10-minute Question and Answer session. Podium, lavaliere, speaker system, laptop, projector, remote, and large screen audio-visual support is provided.

Schedule of Centerstage Presentations to be posted by 15 February, 2024.

Researcher Requirements and Support. Once registration is complete, the Coordinator, Research Showcase will provide detailed information on available support and actions required of presenters.
