Research Showcase
The 2023 Port of the Future Conference will host its annual Research Showcase from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Friday, April 7th, 2023, in the Conrad Hilton Ballroom, at the Hilton University Houston.
Research projects should have a nexus to the maritime sector and may highlight research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Decarbonization and Alternative Fuels, Port Energy and Sustainability, Digitalization and Information Sharing, Port and Maritime Cybersecurity, Port Security, and/or international trade and travel.
Researchers will present their projects from their display area throughout the day. Selected researchers will conduct a 20-minute presentation of their work from the main stage following the schedule to be posted.
Presentations.
Researchers interested in participating must submit their Conference Support forms to PortoftheFuture@uh.edu by close of business on February 1, 2023. Researchers will receive notification of accepted presentations not later than March 1, 2023.
Exhibit Area.
Participating researcher(s) will be assigned an exhibit area containing a tripod, 6-foot table with black tablecloth, and two chairs. Researchers may request power connections.
Researchers are responsible for the printing of their own quad charts, and any additional use of computers, televisions, video, etc.
Print and Graphics Support.
Researchers may send their Quad Chart specifications to the University Copy Center for print or quad chart production.
Quad charts submitted not later than March 15th, will be completed and ready for pick upon Friday, March 31st. Researchers are responsible for all costs incurred in the creation of their quad charts and any associated printing costs.
