Commercial and New Business Development Manager, Shipping and Maritime Shell


As the Manager, Commercial and New Business Development for Shipping and Maritime, Geoff leads several teams responsible for all US commercial-related activities, including chartering ships and barges and developing profitable decarbonization investments across the maritime industry.

With over 20 years of experience, 15 years with Shell, Geoff joined the Shipping and Maritime organization in 2021 as a leader with a demonstrated track record of delivering value in Commercial and Asset roles. Most recently, Geoff served as the General Manager responsible for delivering the Elba Island liquefaction export facility in Savannah, GA, and managed Shell’s Gulf of Mexico offshore Midstream assets from 2014-2018, including the Shell Midstream Partners (NYSE: SHLX) $2bln IPO in 2014.

Before Shell, Geoff spent almost 10 years in Washington, DC, as a strategy consultant for the US Defense and Homeland Security agencies to implement the 2002 Homeland Security Act and as an Economist with the US Department of Commerce. Geoff earned a BA in International Relations from Boston University and an MBA from Purdue University. Geoff and his wife Hallie have two young boys, Henry (3 yrs) and Maxwell (18 months).
